I read here... http://sprinter-source.com/forum/showpost.php?p=149907&postcount=11 Michelin is acknowledging that excessive sidewall cracks aren't normal and they're offering a goodwill price adjustment on a set of new tires. If the tires do have sidewall cracks, Michelin may cover 50-75% of the cost of new tires.Anyone here has had their ATX's replaced and credited due to sidewall cracking? My sidewalls are cracking, but my tires sit in the sun and are at the 40k mark. I only did a short search and didn't find any recall/credit notice from Michelin.
A great tire warranty is often a major selling argument for some manufacturers! Example, Nokian offers a guarantee against road hazard! No matter the type of puncture, you will be compensated. Consumer complaints include sudden blowouts of new tires, tire separation, sidewall and tread cracks, poor inflation, dry rotting, and early signs of wear. Tire failures involving any of these conditions can lead to serious injury or death. The following Michelin tires have been recalled.
